I recently tried to install software that I have loaded on several computers running XP PRO as is my current laptop. However, during one part of the install I am getting the following error "Process performance counter is disabled" and I cannot install that particular part of the software program. I can continue to use the particular program, however that error is consistently loading each time I try to use the software. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. I have uninstalled and re-installed Norton's both before and after reinstalling the software program.
