Could someone please suggest to me a simple sample application using DirectX / DirectShow? There are tons of them here, but I am not making much progress.
I am trying to learn how to get and display a video image and having a very hard time.I have been happily using VC++ but feel a need to step into Direct whatever technology.
I am finding out the Visual Studio IDE 20XX each require different "flavor" of Direct.
So I am pretty much stuck in this morass of "includes"..
For instance – an sample app build with VC++ wants dshow.h included with VC++.
But now I need sal.h and that is included in VS 2011!
Is there a simple DirectShow app for me?
PS Can I do this without jumping into .NET also?
