I am creating a custom list in SharePoint 2013, on-premise, that will show several skype names on a Microsoft SurfaceHub.

When a user taps/clicks on a name, I would like a skype call to automatically start and connect to that other user.

I tried to add <a href="skype:OTHERUSER3?call>OTHERUSER3</a> or just skype:OTHERUSER3?call. 

but it is not http:// form to allow the link to be valid.

I would appreciate a simple, straight forward solution as I don't have access to code the page.
