when a new item is created in to the list the workflow runs on it and sets PO number and requistion number but the workflow gets suspended and this is error which we get "Item cannot be modified because the site is on Hold or Retention policy". we are using SharePoint Online

I am having same Issue with workflow SPD 2013 struck in Starting Stage. This workflow was running (auto when a n item is created in Custom list) fine untill yesterday.I tried to test workflow after making logic changes and published but suprised to see "Item cannont be modified because thye site is on Hold or Retension policy". We are also using Sharepoint Online.

Also it seems same workflow issue is happening in other sites.
