Hello,

This question is part .NET web service/web application and part Exchange Server 2003 related.

Let me explain: we have a web service used to delete and create mailboxes using CDOEXM. This is called from the web application (hosted on an IIS web server). Its used to re-create training mail accounts.

If the web service runs on the Exchange Server, the delete/create mailboxes works okay using the appropriate LDAP connection to first get, and then delete/create the user using the HomeMDB LDAP property.

However the powers that be, want this web service to run on the Exchange Bridgehead Server. It fails with "The server is not operational".

Using the AD User and Computers applet and the same account as the web service (which uses impersonation), the users mailbox can be deleted and created okay.

Does anything need to be configured on the Bridgehead Server to overcome this problem? Has anyone experienced anything similar?
