I can't start a new ASP.NET project with any templates. I have in the past but not I can't. My steps are:

1. Visual Studio

1. Visual Studio

3. ASP.NET Web Application (.NET Framework)  -> (or any ASP.NET Templates ie. Core Web Application etc)

A message box pops up with that error and when I click Ok, or Cancel Visual Studio hangs a moment and then crashes.  I have tried many times and checked for all updates and packages.  I can't figure this out.
